Visitation will be from 4pmCT until 8pmCT on Wednesday at Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home, 209 W Court St, Greensburg, KY, and then from 8amCT until the funeral hour on Thursday, March 16, 2017, at Mt. Gilead Baptist Church, 30 Buford Dial, Greensburg, KY. The funeral service will be at 11amCT on Thursday, March 16, 2017, at Mt. Gilead Baptist Church. Ministers Bro. Keith Clements and Bro. Jason Shirrell will officiate. Interment will follow in Mt. Gilead Cemetery. He was the son of the late Herbert Lewis Handy and Sally Edna Hayes Handy. He departed this life Monday, March 13, 2017 at Green Hill Nursing and Rehab in Greensburg, Green County, KY, having attained the age of 91 years, four months and 15 days. Ed had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a lifelong member and trustee of Mt. Gilead Baptist Church. He was a United States Army Veteran, serving during World War II. He was a member of the James L. Pruitt Post 5813 Veterans of Foreign Wars, Greensburg, KY. He was a dedicated husband and father. He was a Kentucky Farm Bureau Director.
