She had made a profession of faith in Christ was a member of the Greasy Creek Baptist Church and was a homemaker. She was the daughter of the late Al Tom Rogers & Beatrice Wade Rogers. She was the widow of Ralph Baker Mills, her husband of 66 years. She leaves 28 direct living descendants spanning four generations.

Mrs. Alice Rachel Rogers Mills, 95 of Greensburg, KY, departed this life on Saturday, March 11, 2017 at the Golden Living Center-Green Hill, Greensburg, KY

The funeral services for Mrs. Alice Rachel Rogers will be conducted at 1pmCT, Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S Main Street, Greensburg, KY, with burial to follow in the Greasy Creek Cemetery. Bro. James S. Jones officiating. Visitation is requested from 4pm until 8pmCT, Tuesday, March 14, 2017,at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home and after 7amCT, Wednesday until time of the funeral services.



Pallbearers: Bobby Beard, Tommy Judd, Matt Mills, Bill Zapp, Clayton Beard, and Phillip Judd.

Mrs. Alice Rachel Rogers Mills of Greensburg, KY, daughter of the late Al Tom Rogers and Beatrice Wade Rogers, was born on March 29, 1921 in Green County, KY, and departed this life on Saturday, March 11, 2017, in Greensburg, Green County, KY. She was 95 years, 11 months, and 11 days of age.

She had made a profession of faith in Christ was a member of the Greasy Creek Baptist Church and was a homemaker.

She united in marriage to Ralph Baker Mills on January 21, 1938 who preceded her in death on March 12, 2004.

Survivors include:
  • Two sons and daughters-in-law: Larry and Nancy Mills, and Mike and Terry Mills all of Greensburg, KY

  • A daughter and son-in-law: Patsy and Bob Morrison of Florida

  • Seven grandchildren

  • Fifteen great-grandchildren

  • Three great-great-grandchildren

  • And a host of other relatives and friends.
Mrs. Mills was also preceded in death by a grandson: Eric Bradley on March 11, 2013.
