James Donald (Don) Hale, 83, Russell Co., KY (1933-2017)

He was a former co-owner of Aaron Oil Company and was a member of Russell Springs First Baptist Church. He was a member of one of Russell County's leading families. He was the son of the late James Lesllie and Laura Lee McDonald Hale. His wife, Charlene Hale, survives. He leaves seven direct living descendants in Russell & Adair Counties, including sons Charles Hale of Russell Springs, KY and Anthony Hale of Columbia, KY.

James Donald "Don" Hale, 83, of Russell Springs, KY, died Friday, March 10, 2017 at the Jewish Hospital in Louisville, KY.

Funeral service for James Donald "Don" Hale will be 11amCT, Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at the First Baptist Church, 392 KY-80, Russell Springs, KY with Bro. Jeff Eaton, Bro. Jeff Griffin, and Bro. Ryan Coffey officiating. Visitation is 5pm-8pmCT, Monday, March 13, 2017, and after 8amCT, Tuesday, at the church.



James Donald (Don) Hale, 83, Russell Co., KY (1933-2017)

He was born April 14, 1933 in Russell County, KY. He was the son of the late James Leslie & Laura Lee McDonald Hale. He died Friday, March 10, 2017, in Louisville, Jefferson County, KY, at the age of 83 years, 10 months, and 24 days.
BR> He was a former co-owner of Aaron Oil Company and was a member of Russell Springs First Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Michael Hale; four siblings, Mary Louise Selby, Tom Hale, Jack Hale, and Jean Hill.

Survivors include:
  • His wife: Charlene Aaron Hale, Russell Springs, KY

  • Two sons: Charles D. (Amber) Hale, Russell Springs, KY; and Anthony (Carolyn) Hale, Columbia, KY

  • Five grandchildren: Ethan, Austin, Travis, Dylan, & Connor

  • Brother-in-law: Douglas (Brenda) Aaron, Russell Springs, KY

  • Several nieces a nephews
