Charles M. Simpson, McCracken County, KY (1932-2017)

He was retired from the Chief Paduke Antique Mall. His military service was in the United States Coast Guard. He served on the Ambulance Service Board, Human Rights Commission, Senior Citizens Board, Four Rivers Behavioral Health and President of Concorn Lions Club.He was the son of the late Henry & Bessie Simpson. His wife, Carolyn Vance Simpson, survives. He leaves eight direct living descendants, including a daughter, Valerie Thomas of Columbia, KY.

Charles M Simpson (1932-2017), Paducah, KY, passed away Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at home.

The funeral will be at 10amCT, Friday, March 3, 2017, at Lindsey Funeral Home, 226 N Fourth Street, Paducah, KY with Rev. Dennis Lawrence officiating. Visitation will be 5pm-8pmCT, Thursday, March at Lindsey Funeral Home of Paducah. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.



He was retired from the Chief Paduke Antique Mall. Military service was in the United States Coast Guard.

Charles M. Simpson, McCracken County, KY (1932-2017)


He was born December 31, 1932. He was the son of the late Henry & Bessie Simpson. He died Friday, March 3, 2017, in Paducah, McCracken County, KY, at the age of 84 years, two months, and three days. In additition to his parents, Henry & Bessie Simpson, he was preceded in death by an infant son Kris.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Vance Simpson and the following:
  • Daughter: Valerie (Jeff) Thomas

  • Son: Vic Simpson

  • Grandchildren: Kristi (Marty) Irvin, David Thomas, and Hannah Simpson

  • Great-grandchildren: Madison and Braxton Irvin and Makaylie Thomas

  • And a host of other family members and friends.
He was retired from the Chief Paduke Antique Mall. His military service was in the United States Coast Guard.

He served on the Ambulance Service Board, Human Rights Commission, Senior Citizens Board, Four Rivers Behavioral Health and President of Concorn Lions Club.
