Mrs. Tenabel Lowe Hancock, 91, of Greensburg, KY departed this life on Thursday, February 23, 2017 at the Jane Todd Crawford Hospital, Greensburg, KY.

The funeral service for Mrs. Tenabel Lowe Hancock will be conducted at 11amCT, Saturday, March 4, 2017 at the Greensburg Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 699 Old Hodgenville Rd, Greensburg, KY 42743, with burial to follow in the Greensburg Cemetery, N Main Street, Greensburg, KY, with Bro. Kevin Brantley officiating. Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation is requested after 9amCT, Saturday, March 4, 2017 at the Greensburg Cumberland Presbyterian Church until time of the funeral service.



Pallbearers: John Hancock, Griffin Hodges, Micah Tompson, Jeff Himes, Gary Scott, and James DeSpain.

Tenabel Lowe Hancock, 91, Green County, KY (1925-2017)


Mrs. Tenabel Lowe Hancock of Greensburg, Kentucky, daughter of the late Guy Lowe & Agnes Marshall Lowe, was born on September 4, 1925 in Green County, KY, and departed this life on Thursday, February 23, 2017 at the Jane Todd Crawford Hospital. She was 91 years, 5 months, and 19 days of age.

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Greensburg Cumberland Presbyterian Church and was a homemaker.

She united in marriage to John Ed Hancock on June 16, 1950 who preceded her in death on December 17, 1984.

Survivors include:
  • A brother: Marshall "Buddy" Lowe of Greensburg, KY

  • Nieces and nephews: Jan Berry Gutierrez and Mike Gutierrez of Denver, CO; Dr. Marytena Berry Hodges and Geoff Hodges of Cincinnati, Ohio; Laura Hancock Beard and Dr. John T. Beard of Greenville, SC: John Walter Hancock, and Sarah Ellen Hancock both of Greensburg, KY

  • Great-nieces and great-nephews: Bethany Himes of Colorado; P. Micah Thompson of California; Griffin Hodges, Grayson Hodges, Christiana Hodges all of Ohio; Taylor Beard, Lindsey Beard of South Carolina; Corey Hancock, Casey Hancock, Courtney Hancock all of Greensburg, KY

  • Ten great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews

  • And a host of other relatives and friends.
Mrs. Hancock was also preceded in death by a brother: Morris Rodophil Lowe.

The family has asked that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Greensburg Cemetery Fund, which can be made at the funeral home or the church.
