She was retired from the First and Farmers Bank in Columbia where she worked for 35 years. She was a native of Columbia, KY, and a resident of the city at the time of her death. She was a member of an outstanding Adair County family, the daughter of the late Elbert & Stella Akin Janes and the widow of J.C. Willis. She leaves nine direct living descendants.
