She was a homemaker and a member of French Valley United Methodist Church. She was the daughter of the late Lucian & Lillie Grider Womack, and the widow of Leland Voils. She leaves 24 direct living descendants.

Lena Mae Voils, 93, of Russell Springs, died Friday, February 10, 2017 at the Greenview Regional Hospital in Bowling Green.

Funeral service for Lena Mae Voils will be at 11amCT, Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at the Bernard Funeral Home Chapel, 367 N Main Street, Russell Springs, KY, with Bro. David Blair, Bro. Alan Voils and Bro. Charles Edwards officiating. Visitation will be 5pm-8pmCT, Tuesday, February 14, 2017, and after 8amCT, Wednesday. Interment will be in the Russell Springs City Cemetery. Pallbearers: Dale Selby, Jacky Pyles, Jimmy Pyles, Doyle Warriner, Boyd Warriner, Alan Voils, Dan Voils, and Mark Womack



Lena Mae Voils, 93, Russell Co./Adair Native (1923-2017)

She was born July 6, 1923 in Adair County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Lucian & Lillie Grider Womack. She died Friday, February 10, 2017, in Bowling Green, Warren County, KY, at the ge of 93 years, seven months, and four days.

She was a homemaker and a member of French Valley United Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leland Voils; son, Eddie Voils; and two brothers, Garnett Womack, and Gerald Womack.

Survivors include:
  • Two daughters: Christine (Phillip) Collins, Jamestown, KY, and Bonnie (Ronnie) Carroll, Russell Springs, KY

  • Daughter-in-law: Sandra Voils, Russell Springs, KY

  • Eight grandchildren: Tracy (Chris) Adams, Clint (Tobie Jean) Voils, Mitzi (Richie) Stephens, Neil (Lisa) Collins, Ronnie Carroll, Jr., Tana Carroll, LeTisha (Jeremy) Bronson, and Amber (Derek) Stephens

  • Twelve great grandchildren: Ashley & Abigail Adams, Emma Voils, Kristen and Kayla Stephens, Chandler and Bryson Collins, Brandon and Dakota Curtsinger, and Nikelle (Nate) Perry, Tallyn Bronson, and Olivia Stephens

  • Two great great grandchildren: Aidyn Curtsinger, and Ane'la Perry

  • Two sisters: Dorothy Grider, New Mexico, and Jean Nokes, Louisville, KY
