City Council 6 Feb 2017: Agenda items passed routinely

The Columbia City Council approved the two stated agenda items by unanimous votes, 6-0:
  • - 1st Item: Approval of Minutes January 3, 2016, Regular Called Meeting
  • - 2nd Item: Motion to approve Fiscal year 2015-2016 Financial Statements.
For one of the few times ever, there were no citizen comments requested, though attendance was very strong. Attending were:


Mayor Curtis Hardwick presided. All councillors - Craig Dean, Linda Waggener, Craig Lasley, Ronald Rogers, Pam Hoots, and Mark D. Harris present along with City Attorney Marshall Loy, City Clerk Rhonda Loy, City Police Chief Jason Cross with Sgt. Junior Murphy, City Gas Superintendent Ron Cook and Linda Cook, Congressman James Comer's Field Representative Tiffany Hadley Kessler, Mary Ann Loy, Media Representatives, Fair Board Representative Marc Evans, and BSA Troop #88, Columbia: Austin Fruth, Jimmy Winfrey, Schyler VanArsdale, Zack Bullock Caleb Elmore, Alex Evans, Preston Cundiff, Garren Pearson, Colton Purnell, Ian Grant. With them were Scoutmaster Troy Elmore and Marc Evans, Assistant Scoutmaster.
