She was the matriarch of a great Taylor/Green family, whose direct living descendants number 69. She was the daughter of the late George Arvin and Elsie Kathryn Akins Henderson, and the widow of Frank Ingram Arnett

Dorothy Henderson Arnett, age 88, of Campbellsville, died Sunday, February 5, 2017 at The Grandview in Campbellsville, KY.

Funeral services will be conducted at 9:30amCT/10:30amET, Thursday, February 9, 2017, at Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home, 503 E Main Street, Campbellsville, KY, with burial to follow at Campbellsville Memorial Gardens, 700 Old U.S. 27, Campbellsville, KY. The family requests visitation 4pm-7pmCT/5pm-8pmET, Wednesday, February 8, 2017, at Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home.



Pallbearers serving are, Robbie VanCleave, Logan Parker, Jeff Parson, Matt Arnett, Greg Arnett and David Cowherd.

She was born on January 31, 1939 in Green County, KY. She was the daughter of the late George Arvin and Elsie Kathryn Akins Henderson. She died Sunday, February 5, 2017, in Campbellsville, Taylor County, KY, at the age of 88 years, five days.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Ingram Arnett; a daughter, Doris Lynn Parker and a son, Roger Arnett.

She is survived by:
  • Five sons: Jerry and Stacey Arnett, of Campbellsville, KY; Vincent Arnett of Tennessee; Mark and Phyllis Arnett, of Lexington, KY; Frank and Neva Jean Arnett, and John Arnett of Campbellsville, KY

  • Four daughters: Rita Arnett and Carla Gray of Campbellsville, KY; Debbie and Barry Stearman of Virginia; and Rebecca Arnett of Lexington, KY

  • Twenty grandchildren

  • Thirty great-grandchildren

  • Brothers: Vernon Henderson, Johnny Henderson, and James Henderson of Greensburg, KY

  • Sisters: Catherine Morrison of Greensburg, KY; Hallie Waldridge of Louisville, KY; Frances Gray of Elizabethtown, KY; and Mattie Gray of Louisville, KY
