Funeral service for Olena Mae Akers will be 1pmCT Sunday, February 5, 2017 at the Bernard Funeral Home Chapel, 367 N Main Street, Russell Springs, KY, with Bro. Charles Edwards and Bro. Matthew Dalton officiating. Visitation is 5pm-8pmCT, Saturday, February 4, 2017 and after 8amCT on Sunday. Interment will be in the Bethlehem Cemetery. Olena Mae Akers, 88, Russell Springs, KY (1928-2017) She was born April 11, 1928 in Cincinnati, Ohio. She was the daughter of the late Homer McKinzie and Edith Jewell Anderson Bottom. She died Thursday, February 2, 2017, in Jamestown, Russell County, KY, at the age of 88 years, nine months, and 22 days. She was a homemaker and a member of Russell Springs First Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a child, Roberta Kay Hammond; brother, Lymon Bottom; 2 sisters, Betty Foley, Carolym Bottom. Survivors:
