Mr. Wendell Newman Jarvis, Cumberland Co., KY (1923-2017) He was of Methodist faith. He worked in aircraft production during WWII as a riveter on the wings of B-24 bombers and was an employee of General Motors Bus and Truck Division in Indianapolis, Indiana for over 60 years. He was a native of Clinton County, KY. He was the widower of Mae Riddle Jarvis. He leaves four direct living descendants. Funeral Services will be conducted on Monday, January 30, 2017 at 11amCT, in The Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home, 601 N Main Street, Burkesville, KY, with Bro. Todd Bryant officiating. Burial will be in the Highway Cemetery in Clinton County, KY. The family will receive friends after 2pmCT, on Sunday, January 29, 2017 until the funeral hour on Monday. Mr. Wendell Newman Jarvis, Cumberland Co., KY (1923-2017) He was born in Clinton County, KY on Sunday, May 6, 1923, the son of John Sam and Allie May Davidson Jarvis.He passed away Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at Mercy Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri, having attained the age of 93 years, 8 months, and 19 days. He was of Methodist faith. He worked in aircraft production during WWII as a riveter on the wings of B-24 bombers and was an employee of General Motors Bus and Truck Division in Indianapolis, Indiana for over 60 years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mae Riddle Jarvis, whom he wed on March 8, 1948; his siblings, Ruby Jarvis, Elvin Jarvis, Pearl Jarvis Craft, Paul Jarvis; and his niece, Evelyn Craft.
