Donations can be mailed to: Homeplace on Green River, P. O. Box 4212, Campbellsville, KY 42719. Money will be used to erect protective pavilion for a very early 1800s log pen barn. By George Kolbenschlag We are not there yet, but creeping forward. We need your help to make this happen! The total donated for the Homeplace on Green River effort to raise $5,000 which will be matched by an anonymous donor is now $3,450. That means we have $1,550 more to raise by February 1, 2017. The money will be used to build a protective pavilion for a very early 1800s log pen barn. The barn was donated to Homeplace by Gwynette and Ronnie Sullivan, Taylor County, and was taken down and reassembled at Homeplace. It was covered by another barn for many years and is in great condition. If you can help us preserve this historical building, please consider mailing your donation to Homeplace on Green River, P. O. Box 4212, Campbellsville, KY 42719. Homeplace on Green River farm, 5807 New Columbia Road, Campellsville, KY was first settled in 1803, and is being restored and preserved as a reminder to all of the significance of agriculture to our area. It is a joint effort by Adair, Green and Taylor counties and has been recognized by the Kentucky Senate as "Kentucky's Outdoor Classroom." Most of the work is being done by volunteers.
