Adair County Fair continues award-winning tradition

Fair is runner up for most progressive fair in Zone 2, and Adair County Fair's Faye Davidson wins State Association's "Fair Person of the Year."

Despite the likelihood that 2017 could be the "Year without a Fair," the Adair County Fair continues its award winning tradition and earn accolades around the state.

"The Adair County Fair has always been an award-winning fair and continues to be that," Greg Thomas, former president of the Adair County Fair and current president of the Kentucky Association of Fairs and Horse shows, writes.



At the 2017 Kentucky Association of Fair and Horse Shows they received the award for Runner up as the most progressive fair award in zone 2.

Accepting the award at the Galt House in Louisville, KY, on Saturday evening, January 15, 2017, were Susan Smith Perkinson, Brandy Held, Amanda Davis, Michelle Fudge Fruth, and Dan Held, Billy Pickett, Marshall Judd, and Jeff Biggs, presented by Keith Rogers, Chief of Staff of Kentucky Department of Agriculture Commissioners Office.

Faye Davidson was awarded the Kentucky Association of County Fairs and Horse Show''s "Fair Person of the Year for 2016" award, presented by Kentucky Association of Fairs and Horse Shows President Greg Thomas, and Keith Rogers, Chief of Staff of Kentucky Department of Agriculture Commissioners Office.

Fair Association auction pumps $9-K annually into scholarships
