Rev. James (Jim) W. Goff, 85 Louisville, KY (1931-2017) March 1, 1931 - January 5, 2017 He was a highly respected Separate Baptist Church Minister, well known in South Central Kentucky. He was a former pastor at Free Union Separate Baptist Church, in Adair County, as well as SBC churches in Shepherdsville and Louisville. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Ann Slayton Goff. Goff, age 85 years, of Louisville, KY, passed away, Thursday, January 5, 2017 at the Park Terrace Health Campus in Louisville. KY. Funeral services will be held at 10amCT/11amET, Monday, January 9, 2017 at the Dixon-Rogers Funeral Home 31 Lavenia Ln, Magnolia, KY 42757, with the Rev. Melvin Underwood officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Zion Cemetery. Visitation will be 3pm-7pmCT/4pm-8pmET, Saturday, January 8, 2017, at the Owen Funeral Home 5317 Dixie Hwy. in Louisville, KY; from 1pm-7pmCT/2pm-8pmET, Sunday, January 8, 2017, at Dixon-Rogers Funeral Home and after 8amCT/9amET, Monday at Dixon-Rogers Funeral Home until time for services. Bro. Jim was a well-known retired minister, having pastored the following churches; Calvary Hill Separate Baptist Church in Shepherdsville, KY; his home church, Friendship Separate Baptist Church in Louisville, KY; Free Union Separate Baptist Church in Columbia, KY; and most recently, Louisville Separate Baptist Church. Bro. Jim always greeted you with a warm smile and quick wit. One of his many greetings; include, "Do you feel like a million, look like a million and got a million?" Which he would quickly reply, "Well, at least 2 out of 3 ain't bad". Bro. Jim also was a former employee at American Air Filter in Louisville after 27 years of service. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Robert and Lura Vaughn Goff, and two brothers, John L. Goff and Dayton M. Goff. He is survived by his loving wife, of 68 years, Ann Slayton Goff, and the following:
