Faye W. Rigney, 89, Casey County, KY (1927-2016)

She was a homemaker and the matriarch of a large, respected Casey County family, leaving 28 direct living descendants. She was the daughter of the late Claud & Sadie Cochran Wilkinson and the widow of John Harrison Rigney. She was a native of Casey County and a resident of the county at the time of her death.

Faye W. Rigney, age 89, of Liberty, KY passed away on Thursday December 22, 2016 at Jean Waddle Care Center, Somerset, KY.

Funeral Services will be held 12pmNoonCT/1pmET, on Tuesday December 27, 2016 at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel, 142 KY 49, Liberty, KY with Bro. Russell Rigney officiating. Burial will be in the Brush Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be held 5pm-8pmCT/6pm-9pmET, Monday December 26, 2016 and after 7amCT/8amET, on Tuesday December 27th, 2016 at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel.

She was born in Liberty, KY on September 12, 1927 a daughter of the late Claud & Sadie Cochran Wilkinson. She died Thursday, December 22, 2016, in Somerset, Pulaski County, KY, at the age of 89 years, three months, and 10 days.

Faye was the widow of John Harrison Rigney who passed away on May 12, 2007.

Faye was a homemaker.

Survivors include:
  • Two Sons: John Harrison Rigney III and (Donna) and Jerry Douglas and (Zhengyu) Rigney, both of Liberty, KY

  • Seven grandchildren

  • Seventeen great grandchildren

  • Two great great grandchildren

  • One sister: Fern Wyatt of Liberty, KY

  • One brother: Curtis Wilkinson of Cincinnati, Ohio
Preceding her in death besides her parents were two brothers: Vertrus and Franklin D. Wilkinson.
