Tammy Lynn Bledsoe, 48, Adair Co., KY (1968-2016)

Tammy was a member of 3Trees Church and a lab technician for Dr. Eric Loy in Russell Springs, KY. She was a member of a respected Adair County, KY family with strong family ties in Russell County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Holland and Ora Mae Karnes Furkin. Her husband, Ricky D. Bledsoe, survives. She leaves nine direct living descendants.

Tammy Lynn Bledsoe, 48, of Columbia, Kentucky, died Thursday, December 15, 2016 at 11:55pmCT, at TJ Health/Columbia.

Funeral service will be at 1pmCT, Sunday, December 18, 2016 at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville Street, Columbia, KY, with Bro. Jason Hood officiating. Burial will be in Columbia Cemetery, 315 Campbellsville, KY. Visitation will be after 4:30pmCT, Saturday, December 17, 2016.

Tammy Lynn Bledsoe, 48, Adair Co., KY (1968-2016)


She was a daughter of the late Holland and Ora Mae Karnes Furkin, born July 2, 1968, in Adair County, KY. She died Thursday, December 15, 2016, in Columbia, Adair County, KY, at the age of 48 years, five months, and 13 days. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Sherry Bland and two brothers, Norman "Burrhead" and Charles Furkin.

Tammy was a member of 3Trees Church and a lab technician for Dr. Eric Loy in Russell Springs, KY.

Survivors include:

  • Her husband: Ricky D. Bledsoe of Columbia, KY

  • Two sons: Justin Bledsoe and Chris Helm both of Columbia, KY

  • One daughter: Carla Bland of Columbia, KY

  • Two brothers: Billy Fred Furkin of Columbia, KY; and Gary Furkin of Columbia, TN

  • Three sisters: Virginia Coomer of Jamestown, KY; Barbara Smith of Columbia, KY; Shirley Monzingo of Chicago, IL

  • Six grandchildren: Oakley Marie Bledsoe, Blayne Grayson Bledsoe, Nathan Nathaniel Bledsoe, Blake Helm, Sarah Helm, Raelynn Helm

  • Her mother-in-law and father-in-law: Paula & Ronnie Bunch of Russell Springs, KY

  • Several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends
