Driver taken to TJ/Glasgow, airlifted, after accident on KY 80 W

Adair County Sheriff's Department is investigating. Charges pending.

On Saturday December 3, 2016 at approximately 5pmCT, the Adair County Sheriff's Office was dispatched 12 miles west on KY 80 (Edmonton Road) to a single vehicle accident with injuries.

A 1999 Suzuki driven by 50 year old Tommy Murphy of Columbia left the roadway, traveled over an embankment coming to rest against a tree. Mr Murphy was transported to TJ/Glasgow and later airlifted to University of Louisville Hospital.

A female passenger, Delilah Foley also of Columbia was entrapped and was removed by the Breeding Fire Department. Miss Foley was airlifted to University Of Louisville Hospital with serious injuries. Deputy Josh Durbin is the investigating officer with charges pending.
