He was a native of Monroe County, KY, was a former resident of Burkesville, KY, and was a resident of Glasgow, KY, at the time of his death. He was the son of the late Willard Lyman and Unia Rea Killman Hunter. He leaves 19 direct living descendants.

John David Hunter age 62 of Glasgow, KY, formerly of Burkesville, KY, and Tompkinsville, KY, passed away on Monday, November 28, 2016 at T. J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow, KY.

Graveside service will be held Thursday, December 01, 2016 at 3:30pmCT, at Shorts Chapel Cemetery. The family requests visitation on Thursday, December 01, 2016 from 1pmCT until 3pmCT at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home, 304 N Main Street, Burkesville, KY.



John David Hunter, Cumberland Co., KY (1953-2016)


John David Hunter was born on November 29, 1953 in Monroe County, KY. He was the son of the late Willard Lyman and Unia Rea Killman Hunter. He died Monday, November 28, 2016, in Glasgow, Barren County, KY, at the age of 62 years, 11 months, and 30 days.

He was a former employee of Brach's Candy Company in Illinois.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother Boyd Hunter.

Survivors include:
  • Three daughters: Brandy Trussell and Ginger Hunter both of Sullivan, IL; and Michelle Endicott of Tompkinsville, KY

  • Two sons: Austin Hunter of Sullivan, Illinois and Nathan Hunter of Allenville, IL

  • Two sisters: Jennifer Hunter of Red Boiling Springs, TN and Judy Day of Glasgow, KY

  • Four brothers: Tommy Hunter of Burkesville, KY, Bobby Hunter and Billy Hunter both of Tompkinsville, KY and Darnell Hunter of Summer Shade, KY

  • Twelve grandchildren

  • Two great grandchildren

  • and a host of other relatives and friends
