Uganda CSS Hosts nearly 200 at local banquet

By Emma Revis

Nearly 200 guests attended the annual Uganda Counseling and Support Services (UCSS) appreciation dinner that was held October 18, 2016 in Columbia. The mission of UCSS is to improve the quality of life and spread God’s love to people in remote communities of Uganda by providing social services, counseling and spiritual development - one community at a time.

This past year, UCSS support has enabled the Bulike community to move towards self-sufficiency with a water drilling rig and completions of a primary school and a medical center.

By 2018, the Buluya community can achieve sustainable activities (farming etc.) to meet their basic needs and over the next five years, more Uganda communities can be helped with fresh water, medicine, evangelism, and education.

In his closing remarks Dr. Ronnie Kaluya, UCSS founder, had this to say, “God has put it on so many people’s hearts to be the hand and feet of Jesus, if you are looking for personal satisfaction in helping someone, who has never known what it is to have clean water to drink, and if you see value in sharing with others about a God, who loves them unconditionally, and if you would like to help some very deserving people find help for their medical and educational needs, let me assure you that your investment in UCSS will be a good investment of your gift dollars.”

The UCSS Banquet raised $34,870. The UCSS Board encourages anyone interested in learning more about the UCSS to check the website at www.ugandacss.org or to contact Derrick Kisita, 270-250-4978.
