Sad word of the passing of Nancy Sinclair (1947-2016)

There is sad word of the passing of a 'Remarkable Raider', who will be deeply missed by the thousands of Lindsey Wilson College Community who knew and loved her. She leaves a remarkable legacy for her distinguished family and all who knew this dyanamic, courageous woman

Mrs. Nancy Whitlow Thompson Sinclair, age 69 of Summersville, KY, passed away Sunday, November 20, 2016 at her home.

The funeral arrangements for Mrs. Nancy Whitlow Thompson Sinclair are incomplete at this time, but will be announced later when available from the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S Main Street, Greensburg, KY.

She is survived by her husband: Eddie T. Sinclair of Summersville, KY and the following:

  • A son and daughter-in-law: Jamie and Cindy Thompson of Greensburg, KY.

  • Two daughters and sons-in-law: Amy and Chris Wells of Columbia, KY; and Andrea and Ty Corbin of Green County, KY

  • Three step-children: Bryan and Christy Sinclair of Georgia, Travis Sinclair of Florida, and Joseph and Chastity Sinclair of Somerset, KY

  • A sister and brother-in-law: Liz and Billy Parson of Greensburg, KY

  • Three brothers and two sisters-in-law: Morris and Nancy Whitlow, Jeff Whitlow, and Rodney and Karen Whitlow all of Green County, KY

  • Grandchildren: Tylar Anne, Whitley Gage, and Madilyn Grace Corbin, Reilly Elizabeth and Greyson Banks Wells, Zane Tyce Edwards and Harlee Blayne Thompson.

  • Six step-grandchildren: Tristan, Zachary and Alexander Sinclair, Madison, Braden, and Dawson Adams.

  • One great-grandchild: Abram Edwards

  • One step-great-grandchild: Jaisee Sinclair

Remembering: 'Remarkable Raider' Nancy Sinclair (1947-2016)

Nancy Whitlow Thompson Sinclair, lost her long battle on Sunday, November 20, 2016, at her home in Summersville, KY. Along the way, she had made a legion of friends and admirers, not the least of whom were the staff and students at her beloved Lindsey Wilson College. Above she was steadied by her daughter, Amy Thompson-Wells, as she was honored by the Lindsey Wilson Student Body. The caption with the photo, posted February 25, 2016, read:

"Lindsey Wilson College staff member Nancy Sinclair addresses members of the LWC community after being named a "Remarkable Raider" Wednesday night by the LWC Student Government Association. Sinclair, who is executive assistant to LWC President William T. Luckey Jr., has served at the college since 1987. At right is her daughter Amy Thompson-Wells, who is LWC director of civic engagement. - Duane Bonifer"
