Nellie McKinley Lawless, 85, Russell Co., KY (1931-2016)

She was a homemaker and a member of Russell Springs United Methodist Church, Russell Springs Methodist Women's and Russell Springs Homemakers. She was a member of a prominent, highly regarded Russell County, KY family. She was the daughter of the late Roy & Audrey McBeath McKinley, and the wife of Edwin Lawless, who survives. She leaves 27 direct living descendants.

Nellie Lawless, age 85 year(s), 1 month(s), 11 day(s) of Russell Springs, KY passed away Sunday, November 20, 2016 at her residence in Russell Springs, KY.

Funeral services will be at 12pmNoonCT, Tuesday, November 22, 2016, at Wilson Funeral Home Chapel, 391 E Steve Wariner Drive, Russell Springs, KY with Bro. Mark B. Hale officiating. Visitation will be after 8amCT on Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at Wilson Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Mill Springs National Cemetery, 9044 KY 80, Nancy, KY.


Pallbearers: Alex Richards, Drew Richards, Chris Butler, Trevor Smith, John Dando, Dr. Brent Cherry, Jason Redmon and Dennis Kiser.

Nellie Lawless, was born Saturday, October 10, 1931, in Eli, Russell County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Roy & Audrey McBeath McKinley. She died Sunday, November 20, 2016, in Russell Springs, Russell County, KY at the age of 85 years, one month, and 11 days.

She is survived by:
  • Her husband: Edwin Lawless, Russell Springs, KY

  • Three daughters: Bobbye wife of Russell Butler, Connie Smith, wife of Gene Vance Smith, and Tracy, wife of Mitchell Richards, all of Russell Springs, KY

  • Eight grandchildren

  • And 16 great-grandchildren.
