COLUMBIA, KY - A rematch of the 2015 NAIA Football Championship Series First Round awaits No. 8-ranked Lindsey Wilson (10-1) on Saturday as it welcomes No. 10-ranked Grand View (Iowa) (9-2) to Blue Raider Stadium for a FCS First Round bout at noon CT.

Saturday marks the second-consecutive meeting between the two teams in the FCS First Round. Last season, the Vikings needed a last-second field goal to defeat the Blue Raiders 16-13.

In that game, Lindsey Wilson scored 10 points in 35 seconds in the fourth quarter to erase a 13-3 deficit. Grand View then marched down the field to set up a game-winning, 31-yard field goal by Joey Nissen with 1.4 seconds remaining on the clock.

Despite losing, the Blue Raiders outscored the Vikings 13-6 in the second half. Lindsey Wilson has outscored its competition 514-176 after halftime in its last 21 games.

The Blue Raiders appear in their third-consecutive FCS Playoff after receiving an at-large bid. Lindsey Wilson went 10-1 overall and finished second in the Mid-South Conference West Division with a 4-1 mark. The Blue Raiders capped the regular season with a 52-38 victory over Bethel (Tenn.) on Nov. 5.

Lindsey Wilson trailed twice in the game but outscored Bethel 14-0 in the fourth quarter to retake the lead - shutting out the Wildcats in the final 18 minutes of game action. On the season, the Blue Raiders hold a 132-45 advantage in the fourth quarter.

A powerful rushing attack carried Lindsey Wilson against Bethel, accounting for 310 total yards and six touchdowns. Jalen Sublett led the way, running for a program-record 228 yards and three scores.

A stern Grand View defense poses a challenge to the Blue Raiders on Saturday. The Vikings concede only 17.7 points per game this season - the ninth-best mark in the NAIA. The defense is particularly strong against the running game as Grand View allows only 133.3 rushing yards per contest, which ranks 18th in the nation.

The Vikings' defense faced the NAIA's second-best rushing attack in its 29-20 victory over William Penn (Iowa) last Saturday. Grand View allowed 307 rushing yards on 59 carries to an offense that entered the game averaging 293.5 yards per game on the ground.

With the victory, Grand View received an automatic bid into the postseason as the champion of the Heart of America Athletic Conference North Division. The Vikings are making their fifth all-time appearance in the playoffs and fourth in a row.

Lindsey Wilson is 1-2 all-time in the FCS and 1-0 at home. The lone victory came over Faulkner (AL), 20-17 on November 22, 2014.

Grand View is 6-3 all-time in the playoffs. Last season, the Vikings reached the quarterfinals before falling to eventual national champion Marian (IN) 30-3.
