Phillip Roy, 68, of Russell Springs, Russell County, KY, died Friday, November 11, 2016 at the Russell County Hospital Hospice Unit.

Funeral service for Phillip Roy will be 1pmCT, Monday, November 14, 2016 at the Bernard Funeral Home Chapel, 367 N Main Street, Columbia, KY, with Bro. Elvis Tucker and Bro. Scott Allen officiating. Visitation will be after 11amCT, Monday. Interment will be in Adair County, KY, at Freedom Cemetery, 576 Freedom Church Road, Russell Springs, KY.

He was born November 24, 1947 in Adair County, KY. He was the son of the late Lawrence & Malba Smiley Roy. He died Friday, November 11, 2016, in Russell Springs Russell County, KY, at the age of 68 years, 11 months, and 18 days.

He was a machinist.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Bertha Bryant, Ruby Chastain, and Opal Reese; and two brothers, Russell Roy and Ewing Roy.

Survivors include the following:
  • One son: Clay (Carrie) Roy, Russell Springs, KY

  • Three brothers: George Roy, Louisville, KY; Dale Roy, Russell Springs, KY; and Louis Roy, Russell Springs, KY
