He was a farmer and of the Baptist faith. He liked to joke around and he loved to fish and hunt. He was the son of the late William & Juanita Means Cole, and the widower of Iva Dean Lawson Cole. He leaves 16 direct living descendants, including a son, Dallas Cole, of Columbia, KY.

Terry Wayne Cole, 64, passed away Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at his home in Liberty, KY.

Funeral services are at 12pmCT/1pmET, Saturday, November 12, 2016 at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville Street, Liberty, KY, with Bro. Jimmy Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Napier Cemetery. Visitation is 4pm-8pmCT/5pm-9pmET, Friday, November 11, 2016, at the funeral home and Saturday from 7amCT/8amET, until funeral service.



Terry Wayne Cole, 64, Casey Co., KY (1952-2016)


Born January 23, 1952 in Fayette County, KY. He was the son of the late William and Juanita Means Cole. He died Wednesday, November 9, 2016, at his home in Liberty, Casey County, KY, at the age of 64 years, nine months, and 17 days.

He was a farmer and of the Baptist faith. He liked to joke around and he loved to fish and hunt.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Iva Dean Lawson Cole, who died April 3, 2007; a grandchild, Payton Dobbs; brother, Lawrence Cole; sister, Bonnie Mitchel; and two step-children, George Wethington and Patricia Woodard.

Survivors include:
  • Four sons: Dallas (and Deanna) Cole of Columbia, Travis Cole (and girlfriend, Tasha Warren) of Columbia, KY; Jason (and Janet) Cole of Nicholasville, KY; and Daniel (and Ashley) Cole of Liberty, KY

  • A daughter: Michelle McAninch (and boyfriend, Dwayne Dobbs) of Monticello, KY

  • Two step-children: Keith Wethington of Liberty, KY; and Alissa McElroy of Lexington, KY

  • Eleven grandchildren: Trevor, Tegan, Logan, Brayden, Silas, Madison, Chloe, Parker, Emily, Bradley and Chase

  • Three brothers: Larry Cole of Somerset, KY; John (and Marie) Cole of Berea, KY; and Johnny Cole of Knoxville, TN

  • Two sisters: Ann Jones of Georgetown, KY; and Mandy (and Bill) Wethington of Elizabethtown, KY.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the funeral home to offset funeral expenses.
