Students McQuaide and Schmidt speak at Chamber luncheon

The November Columbia/Adair County Chamber of Commerce luncheon speakers were ACHS Rogers' and Governor's Scholars and also heard information on the Community Work Transition Program.

Student speaker Lauren McQuaide, a junior at ACHS, attended the Rogers' Scholar Program this past summer and gave a report on her exciting week as a college student. She is the daughter of Dr. Glenn and Mary Ann McQuaide.



Student speaker Cole Schmidt is a senior at ACHS who attended the Governor's Scholar Program this past summer and is the son of Dr. Chris and Rebecca Schmidt.

In addition to the student speakers Jim Leib, Employment Specialist ACHS, provided details on The Community Work Transition Program (CWTP) at the high school. CWTP is designed to help special students gain skills and resources to become Career Ready Workers.
