LWC Baseball tabbed No. 6 in Top 25 Preseason Poll By Matthew Wurzburger COLUMBIA, KY - The Lindsey Wilson baseball team will open the 2017 season ranked No. 6 as the national office released the Baseball Coaches' Top 25 Preseason Poll on Tuesday, November 8, 2016. The Blue Raiders received 382 voting points to finish 25 votes outside of the top five. Last season, Lindsey Wilson went 44-25 overall and 13-8 in the Mid-South Conference en route to a berth in the Avista-NAIA Baseball World Series -- its second straight appearance. Defending national champion Lewis-Clark State (Idaho) received the No. 1 ranking in the poll, earning 467 voting points and all 17 first-place votes. Faulkner (AL), Bellevue (NE), Tennessee Wesleyan and Georgia Gwinnett round out the top five. Campbellsville (KY) is the only other MSC team represented in the top 25.
