Stanley Dickson, Metcalfe County, KY (1940-2016)

He was a member and deacon of the Society Hill Missionary Baptist church and retired custodian from the Metcalfe County School system. He was the son of the late William Oral Dickson and Zadie Roach Dickson. His wife, Shirley Neagle Dickson, survives. He leaves seven direct living descendants.

Stanley Dickson age 76 of Edmonton, KY, passed away Saturday, November 5, 2016 at his home.

Funeral services will be held 1pmCT, Tuesday, November 8, 2016, at Society Hill Baptist Church, Metclafe County, KY, with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 4pmCT until 8pmCT, Monday, November 7, 2016, and after 9amCT, Tuesday, at Butler Funeral Home, 201 East Street, Edmonton, KY.

He was the son of the late William Oral Dickson and Zadie Roach Dickson. He was born April 3, 1940. He died Saturday, November 5, 2016, in Edmonton, Metcalfe County, KY, at the age of 76 years, seven months, and two days.

Stanley was a member and deacon of the Society Hill Missionary Baptist church and retired custodian from the Metcalfe County School system. He is survived by the following"
  • His wife: Shirley Neagle Dickson, of Edmonton, KY

  • Two sons: Darrell Dickson and wife Kathy of Edmonton, KY; and Greg Dickson and wife Martha of Cave City, KY

  • Three grandchildren: Nathan Dickson of Franklin, KY; Joseph and wife Kelli Dickson of Summer Shade, KY; and Sheena Dickson of Cave City, KY

  • Two great grandchildren: Harper Grace and Ava Mae Dickson
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a sister Elsie Louise Wilson.
