She was a retired librarian at Russell County Library. She was a native of Russell County, KY, and a resident of the county at the time of her death. She was the daughter of the late Abner Perkins & Lorene Hale Fox and the widow of Jessie W. Johnson. She leaves five direct living descendants.

Christina Johnson, 88, of Russell Springs, KY, died Friday, November 4, 2016 at her home.

Funeral service for Christina Johnson will be 12pmNoonCT, Monday, November 7, 2016 at the Bernard Funeral Home Chapel, 367 N Main Street, Russell Springs, KY, with Bro. David Blair officiating. Visitation will be after 10amCT, Monday. Interment in the White Oak Cemetery in Nancy, KY.

She was born October 20, 1928 in Russell County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Abner Perkins & Lorene Hale Fox. She died Friday, November 4, 2016, in Russell Springs, Russell County, KY, at the age of 88 years, 15 days.

She was a retired librarian at Russell County Library.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jessie W. Johnson; two brothers, Otis Fox and Amos Fox; sister, Rozala Wheat; and half sister, Capitola Dunbar.

Survivors include:
  • Her son: Rickey (Darlene) Johnson, Washington, PA

  • Two grandchildren: Rachel (Mike) Hanlon, Allison, PA; and Jared Johnson, Washington, PA

  • Two great grandchildren: Tiana and Mikai Hanlon
