The Adair County Fiscal Court, on the recommendation of County Judge Executive Michael Lee Stephens, voted unanimously to fully fund it's pro-rated share of the cost of the sewer project at Green River Commerce Park.

The county will match the $29,500 approved by the City of Columbia, matching a like amount by the park's primary park occupant, the Rob Wilkerson Companies with the Columbia Adair County Utilities District (CAUD) providing in kind services.

The project funding had been tabled earlier. The construction contract has been awarded to Cumberland Pipeline, the low bidder, and work is now set to begin. The vote to approve came on a motion by CJE Michael Lee Stephens, with a second by Harold Burton (1), with the other six magistrates joining in the affirmative.

Mayor Curtis Hardwick said that once all the paperwork from the Court's action is in his office, work can begin on the project.
