He leaves 13 direct living descendants. His final resting place will be in Russell County, KY, where most of his family reside.

Jimmy D. Hammond, 48,VanHoy Lane, Columbia, KY, died Sunday, October 30, 2016, in Columbia, KY.

A funeral service for Jimmy D. Hammond will be held at 1pmCT, Thursday, November 3, 2016, at H.E. Pruitt Memory Chapel, 202 N Main Street, Jamestown, KY with Bro. Wayne Keith officiating. Burial will be in Ridgecrest Cemetery, Jamestown, KY. Visitation will be at 11amCT Thursday, at the funeral home.

He was born March 26, 1968, in Albany, Clinton County, KY. He was the son of Martha Brown Conner and the late Billy D. Hammond. He died Sunday, October 30, 2016, in Columbia, Adair County, KY, at the age of 48 years, seven months, and four days.

He is survived by the following:
  • His mother: Martha Conner, Jamestown, KY

  • Two sons: Joseph Hammond, Jamestown, KY; and Billy Hammond, Jamestown, KY

  • Three daughters: Shelly Russell, Jeana Flanagan, and Tiffany Hammond, all of Russell Springs, KY

  • Three brothers: Daniel Hammond and Mitchell Hammond, both of Russell Springs, KY; and Dewayne Conner, Lexington, KY

  • Eight grandchildren
He was preceded in death by his father, Billy Hammond; and wife, Pamela Hammond.

H.E. Pruitt Memory Chapel, 202 N Main Street, Jamestown, KY, in charge of arrangements.
