The family chose care and cremation. There will be no visitation or memorial service at this time.

Douglas Wayne Carnes, 74, was born June 20, 1942, in Jamestown, Russell County, KY. He was the sone of the late Edwin & Mildred Bell Carnes. He died Saturday, October 29, 2016, in Jamestown, Russell County, KY, at the age of 74 years, four months, and nine days.

He was a retired truck driver.

He is survived by his wife, Kathy Acton Karnes, Jamestown, KY, and the following:
  • His son: Douglas Carnes, Jr., Russell Springs, KY

  • Daughters: Kamie Warriner and Edna Spears, both of Jamestown, KY

  • Sister: Sarah Polston, Jamestown, KY

  • Three grandchildren

  • Four great grandchildren
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Larry Carnes, and grandson Jacob McGowan.

The family requests expressions of sympathy be made to the funeral home to help with final expenses.
