Charles "Poss" Muse, age 79 of Burkesville, KY passed away on Saturday, October 29, 2016 at T.J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow, KY.

Funeral service will be Tuesday, November 01, 2016 at 2pmCT, at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home, 304 N Main Street, Burkesville, KY with burial in Burkesville Cemetery. The family requests visitation 5pm-9pmCT, Monday, October 31, 2016 at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home.



Charles "Poss" Muse, 79, Burkesville, KY (1937-2016)

Charles "Poss" Muse was born on October 14, 1937 in Cumberland County, KY. He was the son of the late Prentis and Ethel White Muse. He died Saturday, October 29, 2016, in Glasgow, Barren County, KY, at the age of 79 years, 15 days.

He had worked in oil exploration and had also trimmed trees for many years.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Nina "Susie" England Muse, two daughters, Elizabeth Scott and Anna Sue Scott, two sons, Cary"Beggie" Scott, and Lonnie Scott, and two brothers, Ferry Muse and Terry Muse.

Survivors include:
  • Seven daughters: Faye Starns(Randall) of Albany, KY; Wanda Dunbar (Jimmy) of Jamestown, KY; Mary Starns (Rayborn) of Albany, KY; Brenda Scott (Larry Booher) of Albany, KY; Linda Tallent (Ray) of Albany, KY; and Darlene Muse and Brittany Muse both of Burkesville, KY

  • Six Sons: Tony Scott of Burkesville, KY: Jonah Scott of Albany, KY; Patrick Anderson of Burkesville, KY; Brian Muse(Linda) of Burkesville, KY; Charles Muse of Burkesville, KY; and James "Dude" Anderson(Pam) of Greensburg, KY

  • Two Sisters: Jody Muse Rush and Lura Muse both of Burkesville, KY<

  • Two Brothers: Perry Muse of Burkesville, KY and German Muse of Rockport, IN

  • Several grandchildren, great grandchildren

  • and a host of other relatives and friends also survive
