Jerry Darrell Jeffries, 68, Savoyard, KY (1948-2016)

He was a farmer and member of the Savoyard Baptist Church. He was a member of a highly regarded NW Metcalfe County, KY, family. He was the son of Mary Ellen Jeffries, who survives, and the late Lester Jeffries. His wife, Judy Jeffries, survives. He leaves 17 direct living descendants.

Jerry Darrell Jeffries age 68 of Savoyard, KY, went to be with the Lord after having a short battle with cancer Friday October 28, 2016 at his home.

Funeral services will be 2pmCT, Sunday, October 30, 2016, at the Butler Funeral Home, 201 East Street, Edmonton, KY, with burial in the Jeffries Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday, October 29, 2016 from 4pm until 8pmCT and after 9amCT Sunday at the funeral home.



Jerry Darrell Jeffries, 68, Savoyard, KY (1948-2016)

He was born July 16, 1948. He was the son of Mary Ellen Jeffries, who survives, and the late Lester Jeffries. He died October 28, 2016, in Savoyard, KY, at the agge of 68 years, three months, and 12 days.

He was a farmer and member of the Savoyard Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Judy Jeffries, of Savoyard, KY, and the following:
  • Four children: Chalis Owens of Glasgow, KY; Chris Jeffries of Bowling Green, KY; Shannon (Tony) Corbin of Savoyard, KY; and Jerrica (Brent) Wright of Glasgow, KY

  • Mother: Mary Ellen Jeffries of Savoyard, KY

  • One sister: Nancy (Ollie) Dennis of Glasgow, KY

  • Eleven grandchildren: Mariah, Madison, and Ryan Owens, Anthony and Taylor Jeffries, Tonisha Williams, Holly Beth and Benjamin Corbin, Drake, Brycen, and Ann Katherine Wright

  • Two great grandchildren: Addison Eatmon and Rylan Jeffries
He was preceded in death by his father Lester Jeffries.
