Lucille Gosser, 86, Russell Co., KY (1930-2016)

She was a long time member of Pine Grove United Baptist Church where she was a faithful member. She was a kind and loving mother, granny, sister, and friend to all and will be greatly missed. She was the daughter of the late Herschel and Delia Chumbley Gosser. Her husband Crawford Gosser, survives. She leaves 23 direct living descendants.

Lucille Gosser, age 86, passed away Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at her residence in Russell Springs, KY.

Funeral services will be at 2pmCT, Friday, October 21, 2016 at Wilson Funeral Home Chapel, 391 East Steve Wariner Drive, Russell Springs, KY with Bro. Joe Gosser officiating. Visitation will be Friday, October 21, 2016 11am-2pmCT, at Wilson Funeral Home Chapel. Special music by the Square Oak Singers. Interment will be in the Pine Grove United Baptist Church Cemetery, on Gosser Ridge, Russell Springs, KY.



Lucille Gosser, 86, Russell Co., KY (1930-2016)


She was born on Monday, May 05, 1930 in Russell County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Herschel and Della (Chumbley) Gosser. She died Wednesday, October 19, 2016, at her residence in Russell Springs, Russell County, KY, at the age of 86 years, five months, and 15 days.

She married Crawford Gosser on May 31, 1947 and they were married for 69 years.

In addition to her husband Crawford, she is survived by the following:
  • Two daughters: Sharon Gosser and husband Lonnie, Russell Springs, KY; and Linda Helm and husband Danny, Jamestown, KY

  • One son: Danny Dale Gosser and wife Linda, Upton, KY

  • Two sisters: Ruby Thomas, Morrow, Ohio; and Edna Roy, Russell Springs, KY

  • Seven grandchildren

  • Nine great-grandchildren

  • Four great-great-grandchildren
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Hubert Gosser, Carthel Gosser and a sister, Edith Smith.

She was a long time member of Pine Grove United Baptist Church where she was a faithful member.

She was a kind and loving mother, granny, sister, and friend to all and will be greatly missed.

Pallbearers: Troy Gosser, Daniel Gosser, Matthew Helm, Josh Kerr, Jim Kerr, Jordan Turner, Jason Strader and Mike Blakeney

Expressions of sympathy can take the form of a contribution to Gideon's Memorial Bible Plan or Hospice of Lake Cumberland.
