She was a retired ticket agent for Greyhound Trailways Bus Line and a member of Melson Ridge Baptist Church in Adair County, KY. She was a native of McCreary County and a resident of Pulaski County, KY, at the time of her death. She was the daughter of the late Elmer & Polly Strunk Stephens and the widow of Bro. Arlus Bradshaw. She leaves eight direct living descendants. Her final resting place will be in Russell Springs, Russell County, KY

Virginia Mae Bradshaw, 67, of Somerset, died Friday, October 14, 2016 at the Hospice of Lake Cumberland Jean Waddle Care Center in Somerset, KY.

Funeral service for Virginia Mae Bradshaw will be 1pmCT, Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at the Bernard Funeral Home Chapel, 367 N Main Street, Russell Springs, KY, with Bro. Johnny Dunbar officiating. Visitation will be after 11amCT. Tuesday. Interment in the Russell Springs City Cemetery.

She was born December 3, 1948 in McCreary County to the late Elmer & Polly Strunk Stephens. She died Friday, October 14, 2016, in Somerset, Pulaski County, KY, at the age of 67 years, 10 months, and 11 days.

She was a retired ticket agent for Greyhound Trailways Bus Line and a member of Melson Ridge Baptist Church.

Survivors include the following:
  • Her husband: Bro. Arlus Bradshaw, Somerset, KY

  • Three children: Sandi Simpson, Somerset, KY; Donna Collett, Mt. Victory, KY; and Arlisa Duncan, Somerset, KY

  • Five grandchildren

  • Three sisters: Alma Pittman, Somerset, KY; Ann Marlar, Corbin, KY; and Mary Grundy, Elizabethtown, KY

  • One brother: Elmer Ray Stephens, Science Hill, KY
