Dr. Cathryn Cornett, Liberty, KY (1923-2016) Dr. Cornett was a graduate of the University of Memphis Medical School. She was a retired physician for the Casey County Health Department and also practiced medicine in Danville, Somerset, Casey County, and Lincoln County. She was a member of the Liberty First Christian Church and member of the Casey County Library Board. Memorial services are 1pmCT/2pmET, Sunday, November 13, 2016 at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville Street, Liberty, KY, with Garland Hoskins officiating. Burial will follow in Middleburg Cemetery. There will be No visitation. Dr. Cathryn Cornett, Liberty, KY (1923-2016) Born March 4, 1923 in Memphis, Shelby County, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Ripley Vaden and Clara Morehead Vaden. She died Tuesday, October 11, 2016, in Liberty, Casey County, KY, at the age of 93 years, eight months, and eight days. Dr. Cornett was a graduate of the University of Memphis Medical School. She was a retired physician for the Casey County Health Department and also practiced medicine in Danville, Somerset, Casey County, and Lincoln County. She was a member of the Liberty First Christian Church and member of the Casey County Library Board. Survivors include a host of nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Hubert Cornett; a son, Michael Rhodes Cornett; and sister, Mary Jane Jones. In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to the Casey County Public Library, 238 Middleburg Street, Liberty, KY 42539. Funeral arrangements entrusted to McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville Street, Liberty, KY, with guestbook available online at McKinney-Brown.com.
