Mr. Leonard (Joe) Leslie Walker departed this life on Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at the Golden Living Center/Green Hill in Greensburg, Kentucky. He was 80 years old.

Visitation for family was at 8:30amCT, and for the public from 9amCT on Thursday, October 6, 2016 until the time of the funeral service at Cowherd & Parrott Funeral Home, 206 South Main Street, Greensburg, Kentucky.

The funeral service was at 1pmCT on Thursday, October 6, 2016, at the Cowherd & Parrott Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Akin Cemetery

Mr. Leonard (Joe) Leslie Walker, 80, Greensburg, KY (1936-2016)

Mr. Leonard "Joe" Leslie Walker of Greensburg, Kentucky, son of the late Robert Hardin Walker and Maulty Calhoun Walker, was born on January 28, 1936 in Green County, Kentucky, and departed this life on Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at the Golden Living Center/Green Hill in Greensburg, Kentucky. He was 80 years, eight months and six days of age.

He was retired from the Nalley & Haydon Quarry and was a farmer for more than 20 years.

He was united in marriage to Mary Francis Ray Walker on December 12, 1966 who preceded him in death on May 30, 1997.

He is survived by:
  • Two sons and a daughter-in-law: Leslie and Carla Walker and Billy Jo Walker, all of Greensburg, KY

  • One step-son: Donald Wayne Bailey of Greensburg, KY

  • Three grandchildren: Logan Walker of Greensburg, KY; Billy Jo Walker, Jr. of Campbellsville, KY; and Ashley Marie Walker of Summersville, KY

  • And a host of other relatives and friends.<
> Mr. Walker was also preceded in death by a sister: Alma Givens; and three brothers; Finis Walker, Junior Walker, and Elbert Walker.

Memorials are suggested to the family burial fund, which can be made at the funeral home.
