LWC women's golf finishes first at Blue Raider Classic By Anthony Latessa The Lindsey Wilson women's golf team finished in first place at the Blue Raider Classic at The Pines at Lindsey Wilson. The Blue Raiders shot a 26-over par 314 today for a total team score of 618. Cumberland (Tenn.) finished in second with a total score of 647. Asbury (Ky.) came in third with a scored of 670. Three Lindsey Wilson golfers finished in the top four. Tara Rodenhurst took home the individual title after shooting a one-under par 71, on the par-72, 5,864-yard course to finish with a total of 146. She topped the second-place finisher by eight strokes. Rodenhurst shot a tournament high seven-under on par-5s. She also recorded nine birdies over the two days the most in the tournament. Dacie Bolton finished with a total score of 155 (74-81) for a third-place finish. Shayna Cockrill finished the tournament with a two-round total of 156 (76-80) to finish in fourth. Courtney Vincent stayed tied for fifth after day two with an 82. She finished with a two-round total of 161 (79-82). Kenna Richardson moved up two spots to finish tied for 10th after shooting an 82 today to finish with a 166 (84-82). Three Blue Raiders played as individuals. Ashley Strong moved up two spots from yesterday after shooting an 81 today. Megan Kriz finished in 14th with a two-round score of 171 and Bryanna Hensley had a total score of 253 for a 20th place finish. Following conclusion of play, the All-Tournament Team was announced. Rodenhurst, Cumberland's Raquel Romero, Bolton, Cockrill, Asbury's Julie Spaulding and Vincent were named to the All-Tournament Team. This story was posted on 2016-10-12 15:59:26
