Annie Aline Froedge Whitlow, 91, Metcalfe Co., KY (1925-2016)

She was a housewife and of the Baptist faith, and the matriarch of a large, respected Metcalfe County, KY family. She was a native of Metcalfe County, KY, and a resident of the county at the time of her death. She was the widow of the late Bernice Cole Whitlow. She leaves 22 direct living descendants.

Annie Aline Froedge Whitlow, age 91, of Edmonton, died October 7, 2016 at Metcalfe Health Care, Edmonton, KY.

Funeral services will be Sunday, October 9, 2016 at 2pmCT, at the McMurtrey Funeral Home, 2232 Summer Shade Road, Summer Shade, KY, with burial to follow in the Joe Field Cemetery. Visitation will begin Saturday, October 8, 2016 at 2pm-8pmCT, and on Sunday after 8amCT until time of services at 2pmCT.


Annie Aline Froedge Whitlow, 91, Metcalfe Co., KY (1925-2016)

Born May 26, 1925 in Metcalfe County, KY, she was a daughter of the late John Rosevelt and Velma Garmon Froedge. She died Friday, October 7, 2016, in Edmonton, Metcalfe County, KY, at the age of 91 years, four months, and 11 days.

She was the widow of the late Bernice Cole Whitlow.

She was a housewife and of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include:
  • One daughter: Sharlotte Whitlow, Edmonton, KY

  • Two sons: Marshall Reid (Marie) Whitlow, Bonnieville, KY; and Neddie Ray (Betty) Whitlow, Edmonton, KY

  • Three brothers: Bobby, Billy, and Larry Dale Froedge, all of Edmonton, KY

  • Six grandchildren: Bobby Thurman, Daniel Whitlow, Crystal Welden, Ivy Hatton, Kimberly Whitlow and Reid Whitlow

  • Two step grandchildren: Johnny and Billy Robertson

  • Fourteen great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death besides her parents and husband, by four sister and five brothers.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Joe Field Cemetery.
