Says Heartland Parkway road markings 'flabbergasting' Will limit the number of trips to Campbellsville, she says Next earlier item, this story: North Highway 55: You can't combine passing/turning lane By Joyce Coomer Personal commentary Keith, Emmy and I went to Milton, KY, on September 30 and we were -- I guess "flabbergasted" is the best word to use here -- at the lane markings between here and the Taylor County line on Highway 55. Who set these out? And where/what was the logic behind it? Keith was driving. He's driven all over the world, from Germany (and other European countries) to Japan to Korea to Africa, and in several states in the United States (including large cities) and he said he'd never seen anything like this anywhere . . . I thought it highly confusing and inefficient. I expected wrecks to happen and am surprised that there has not yet been a fatality from a head-on collision. These disorienting road markings will definitely limit the number of trips we make to Campbellsville in the future, especially as the Cumberland Parkway gives us much more logical access to towns east and west.
