She was a member of Big Creek Baptist Church and was retired from Edmonton Manufacturing> She was a member of highly respected Adair County, KY family, the daughter of Harbert & Beatrice Compton Gowen, and the widow first of Archie Sneed (d. 1973), and later of Donald H. Samuell (d. 2012). She leaves six direct and two step living descendants.Carolyn Sneed Samuell, age 81, of Columbia, KY passed away Friday, September 16, 2016 at 7:22amCT, at TJ Health Columbia Emergency Room in Columbia, KY Funeral service will Monday, September 19, 2016 at 11amCT, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY. Bro. Larry Brown will be the officiating clergy. Visitation will be after 4pmCT, Sunday, September 18, 2016, at the funeral home. Interment will be in Moore Cemetery, 225 Prices Creek Road, KY (in Adair County) Edmonton, KY.
