Bethel Tarter, 77, of Russell Springs, died Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at the Somerwoods Nursing & Rehab Center in Somerset, KY.

Funeral service for Bethel Tarter will be 2pmCT, Friday, September 16, 2016 at the Bernard Funeral Home Chapel, 367 N Main Street, Burkesville, KY, with Michael Scales officiating. Visitation after 1pmCT, Friday. Interment will be in the Coffey's Chapel Cemetery.



Bethel Tarter, 77, Russell County, KY (1939-2016)


She was born March 13, 1939 in Russell County to the late Arnold & Lorcie Wilson Roy. She died Wednesday, September 14, 2016, in Somerset, Pulaski County, KY, at the age of 77 years, six months, and one day.

She was a member of Coffey's Chapel United Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Arlis Roy, Carlie Roy and a sister, Nelphia Scales.

Survivors:
  • Son: Forrest Wayne Tarter, Russell Springs, KY

  • Grandson: Hunter Tarter, Ypsilanti, MI

  • Brother: Arlie (Myrna) Roy, Russell Springs, KY
