Michael Wayne Booth, 60, of the Eli Community of Russell County, died Friday, September 9, 2016 at the Russell County Hospital in Hospice Care.

Funeral service for Michael Wayne Booth will be 12pmNoonCT, Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at the Bernard Funeral Home Chapel, 367 N Main Street, with Bro. Roger Garner officiating. Visitation after 10amCT, Tuesday. Interment in the Popplewell Cemetery. Special will be rendered by Starlene Popplewell.



Active Pallbearers: Tom Jessee, Jerry Popplewell, Josh Higginbotham, Johnny Simpson, Croley Baird, and Jared Bloyd. Honorary Pallbearer: Steve Bledsoe.

He was born January 23, 1956 in Cincinnati, Ohio. He died Friday, September 9, 2016, in Russell Springs, Russell County, KY, at the age of 60 years, seven months, and 17 days.

He was a school bus driver for the Russell County School system and was a member of Coffey's Chapel United Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by his by a brother, Joseph Booth; and a sister, Sherry Booth Sanders.

  • Mother: Yvonne Popplewell Johnson, Russell Springs, KY

  • Father: Elmon Booth

  • Sister: Karen Roy, Windsor, KY

  • Niece: Vanessa Clements, Windsor, KY

  • Beloved dog: Roscoe
