Alicia Gail May Thurmond, 31, Metcalfe Co., KY (1985-2016) She was a native of Sylva, NC, and a resident of Edmonton, KY, at the time of her death. she was a daughter of the late James Clinton May and Deana Mae Freeman May, Edmonton, KY, who survives, and the wife of William David Thurmond III, who survives. She leaves three direct living descendants. Her final resting place will be in Briartown, NC. Funeral services will be Sunday, September 11, 2016 at 3pmET, at Briartown Baptist Church, in Nantahala, NC, with burial to follow in the Briartown Cemetery. Visitation will be at the McMurtrey Funeral Home, 2232 Summer Shade Road, Summer Shade, KY, on Saturday, September 10, 2016 from 4pm-7pmCT, and on Sunday, September 11, 2016 at the Briartown Baptist Church in Briartown North Carolina, from 2pmET, until time of funeral services.
