Elizabeth Shelley Collins Webb, Adair Co., KY (1923-2016)

She was a member of an old line, highly distinguished Adair County, KY family. She was the daughter of the late Vander Martin & Lillian Cecil Shelley Collins. She loved being a teacher. She was a devoted home-economics teacher at Mason School for over 30 years. She was also a member of the Order of Eastern Stars, loved to sew, quilt, and was an excellent cook. Her final resting place will be in Adair County, KY

Elizabeth Shelley Collins Webb, age 93, of Mason Ohio, formerly of Adair County, KY, passed away Sunday, September 4, 2016 in Ohio

Graveside service Monday, September 12, 2016 at 2pmCT, at Haven Hill Cemetery, 1276 Liberty Road, Columbia, KY with Dr. John Hatton the officiating clergy. Interment will follow.

She was born July 14, 1923, She was the daughter of the late Vander Martin & Lillian Cecil Shelley Collins. She died Sunday, September 4, 2016, in Ohio at the age of 93 years, one month, and 21 days.

She was preceded in death by her dear son, Phillip Webb (Diane Webb); and brothers Luther Collins of Columbia, KY, and Warren Collins.

She is survived by:
  • Beloved children: Karla Webb Holton, and Sheila Libecap,

  • Cherished grandchildren: Liana Webb, Kailee Webb, Shyla Crouch, and Timothy Payne

  • Dear great-grandchildren Ashley Meece, Tyler Meece, and Melony Crouch
Elizabeth loved being a teacher. She was a devoted home-economics teacher at Mason School for over 30 years. Elizabeth was also a member of the Order of Eastern Stars, loved to sew, quilt, and was an excellent cook.
