LWC Volleyball at IU Southeast Thu 8 Sep 2016

COLUMBIA, KY - The second-ranked Lindsey Wilson volleyball team faces Indiana University Southeast on Thursday night at 6pmCT/7pmET, in the Activities Building, IU Southeast, 4201 Grant Line Road (Campus), New Albany, IN.



The Blue Raiders (10-0, 2-0 MSC) are coming off a 3-0 victory over Cumberland (Tenn.) on Tuesday. Lindsey Wilson had a team hitting percentage of .419 in the match. Eileen Acuna and Yeniffer Ramirez each had nine kills. Makenzie Montano had a team-high 31 assists and Caitlyn led the team in digs with 12.

The Blue Raiders' .321 hitting percentage this season is the best in the NAIA. Lindsey Wilson is first in the NAIA in kills per set with 14.7. The Blue Raiders have only dropped one set so far this season.

IU Southeast enters Thursday's match with a 4-5 record. They are coming off a 2-2 weekend at the Indiana Wesleyan Tournament in Marion, Ind. The Grenadiers are led by Hannah Joly who has 84 kills on the season.

This is the second matchup between the two schools this season. The first came on Aug. 19 at the Lindsey Wilson Classic. The Blue Raiders won in three sets and were led by Ramirez who had 12 kills and Montano who had 29 assists. Lindsey Wilson has won 11 straight against IU Southeast dating back to the 2010 season.
