Montie Pendleton, Dunnville, KY (1950-2016)

He was a retired logger. He was a native of Casey County, KY, the son of the late John & Dorothy Lee Pendleton. His wife of over 44 years, Janie Meeks Pendleton, survives. He leaves six direct living and one on the way descendants.

Montie Pendleton, of Dunnville, KY passed away Friday, August 26, 2016. He was 66.

Graveside services will be held at 12pmNoonCT/1pmET, Monday, August 29, 2016 at South Fork Cemetery, Casey County, KY, with Bro. Danny Warren officiating. Burial will follow service.



Montie Pendleton, Dunnville, KY (1950-2016)


Born March 27, 1950 in Casey County, KY, he was the son of the late John and Dorothy Lee Pendleton. He died Friday, August 26, 2016, in Dunnville, KY, at the age of 66 years, four months, and 30 days.

He was a retired logger.

Survivors include:
  • His beloved wife: Janie Meeks Pendleton, whom he married December 23, 1971

  • One son: Eric Pendleton of Russell Springs, KY

  • Five grandchildren

  • A great-grandson on the way

  • Two brothers: Morris (and Betty) Pendleton of Liberty, KY; and Mike (and Kay) Pendleton of Dunnville, KY

  • Two sisters: Bonnie Meeks of Columbia, KY; and Janett (and David) Meeks of Dunnville, KY
In addition to his parents, he wass preceded in death by a son, Gregory Pendleton; three brothers, Wesley, Russell and John Pendleton; and a sister, Loren Goodin.
