CAUD: Algae affecting taste, odor of local water, safe to drink Green River Lake is experiencing an Algae Bloom; this is causing the taste and odor problems with the water. Columbia/Adair Utilities District is taking the necessary steps to treat the algae bloom. The water is safe to drink and use, there are just taste and odor problems.
