Betty Celeste Kean, 89, of Russell Springs, KY, died Tuesday, August 9, 2016 at her home.

Visitation after 1pmCT on Saturday. Funeral service for Betty Celeste Kean will be 3pmCT, Saturday, August 13, 2016 at the Bernard Funeral Home Chapel, 367 North Main St, Russell Springs, KY, with Bro. Billy Dunbar officiating. Interment will be in the Rexroat Cemetery.

She was born October 14, 1926 in Riverhead, New York. She was the daughter of the late Frank Jr & Dorothy Francis. She died Tuesday, August 9, 2016, in Russell Springs, Russell County, KY, at the age of 89 years, nine months, and 26 days.

She was a certified nurse's assistant and attended Bethesda Community Church

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Ralph Kean; two children, Ernest Bland, Rebecca Roll; a sister, Dorothy Francis; a brother Bill Francis; and three grandchildren, Tim Carter, Mary Elizabeth Seal, Loretta Lee McGowan.

Survivors include:
  • Six children: Robert (Kathy) Kean, Nancy, KY; John (Jackie) Kean; Vickie Crouch, Greencastle, In; Mary Carter, Russell Springs, KY; Michael Kean, Greencastle, IN; Kathy Cross, Illinois

  • Fifty-nine grandchildren

  • Thirty-two great grandchildren

  • Seven great great grandchildren
