Mildred Anderson, 87, of Russell Springs, died Monday, August 8, 2016 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, KY.

Funeral service for Mildred Anderson will be 11amCT Thursday, August 11, 2016 at the Bernard Funeral Home Chapel, 367 N Main Street, Russell Springs, KY, with Bro. Charles Edwards officiating. Visitation after 5pmCT, Wednesday, August 10, 2016. Interment will be in the Russell County Memorial Gardens. Special music will be rendered by Kristen Taylor.

She was born September 2, 1928 in Cincinnati, Ohio. She was the daughter of the late James Horace & Elsie Anderson Grider. She died Monday, August 8, 2016, in Somerset, Pulaski County, KY at the age of 87 years, 11 months, and six days.

She was a insurance agent and a member of Royville Friendship Church.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Chelcia Anderson; three sisters, Grace Anderson, Almarene Redmon, and Elwanda Grider; and two brothers, brothers; Clifton Grider and Ralph Grider.

Survivors include the following:
  • Two children: Michael (Brenda) Anderson, Elizabethtown, KY; and Rita (Wayne) Curry, Somerset , KY

  • Three grandchildren: Michael (Chrissa) Wesley Brown, Somerset, KY; Jon (Tiffany) Michael Anderson; Kyle Anderson (Kristen Taylor) Curry, Lexington, KY

  • Five great grandchildren: Peyton, Blake, Maddie, Kinsley, and Kade

  • Three sisters: Margaret Lawless, Juanita Anderson, Laverne (George) Ison, all of Russell Springs, KY
